About Us
Out in the beautiful Red River Valley of eastern North Dakota, rows of berry bushes line the driveway of the Nelson Aronia Farm where father and son duo, Greg Nelson and Chase Nelson, along with Adam Kapaun, harvest over 20 acres of aronia berries (also known as chokeberries) each fall. To celebrate their annual harvest and raise awareness for this delicious superfruit, their family welcomes the public to Aronia Fest ND on September 7th 2025 from 11am-4pm!
what is aronia?
Also known as a chokeberry, aronia berries have proven to be one of nature’s most powerful antioxidants (higher than any other berry) - though small, they are mighty! It’s components have been found to improve functions of the circulatory, respiratory, and digestive systems, prevent gastric damage, protect heart cells from cell membrane damage, protect the liver from chemical damage, enhance overall wellness, and more!
